Below: Q&A with Kevin Gallagher, the SEO Manager at Moovin' On Up, a web design and SEO consultancy based in Edinburgh, UK. He recently shot over a couple of "Thank you so very much for Notable!" notes to us. After reading them we had to find out more about how he uses the tool.
What do you do?
I'm the Usability Manager at Moovin' On Up. I perform usability and conversion optimisation on our clientsa'' websites to increase their conversions and to remove all the roadblocks visitors may come up against.
How do you use Notable?
Even if you are getting tons of quality traffic to your site, this does not necessarily mean your website is experiencing a good ROI or achieving its desired goals. This is where website Usability comes into play for all our clients, as we perform a usability analysis for every website. This helps to identify any problems a visitor face and solves any problems the site may have in converting them.
We use the visual screenshot of the website to add our feedback for the client. Notable helps us illustrate the problem areas of a website. It lets me comment on key sections of a webpage, then create a stylish PDF that outputs this in a clear, easy to understand illustration with numbered points overlaid to help show perfectly the areas we would like to focus on.
How did you accomplish this before Notable?
Notable saves us time and helps us to convey our usability recommendations in ways that were not possible in the past without a lot of cutting and pasting in Photoshop.
What features do you find most helpful?
The ability to convert to a PDF is really interesting and the ability to comment and share information in an easy to understand manner is also a great feature.
